I HAS THE BETA!! lag issues at the moment though

but the game is alriteeeee just laggy atm so hard to play

Yes I got it as well only just started but its looking good for a beta!! does'nt quite have the man V man play of the CoD series but feels better than BF2 very fast play and great effects

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 PC Beta Patch Released

The server browser now works, but isn't improved, functionality wise:

A new BFBC2 PC Beta client is here! Don't worry it is a new painless process and will not be a massive 1.4Gb download again.

The RC2 contains the following fixes:

Front End:

# Fixes server browser crashes. Server browser more resilient against corrupt online service data, and better support for large number of servers.
# Several server browser ping issues resolved.

Windows XP Stability:

# Fixed crash on windows XP at end of round, exit game and display mode changes and.
# Proper window style / mouse confinement when starting game maximized on XP .

Options Dialog:

# Mouse sensitivity setting gives more effect.
# Mouse sensitivity loaded on game startup.

The update to RC2 is 8.4Mb

When you next start BFBC2 you should get be prompted to update (Steam users can update through Steam). If you have trouble updating by running the game itself go to \Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield Bad Company 2 - BETA and run BFBC2BetaUpdater.exe as Administrator.

As Neil says you will need the beta key......if you pre-order with play.com you will get a key within 24 hours....of course you can always cancel the game later
